Shutter Speed - Gig Photos (Movement)

On Saturday I went to a gig and I tried out a variety of settings. Some came out interesting like this..

(ISO - 100) f3.5 1.3 Sec

(ISO - 100) f3.5 2.6 Sec

(ISO - 100) f3.5 1.6 Sec

(ISO - 100) f3.5 3.5 Sec

(ISO - 100) f3.5 3.2 Sec
These are using a flash along with a slow shutter speed. It creates a blur of light along with having the subject lit up. It's called the 'Flash and Blur' technique.

(ISO - 800) f3.5 1/4

(ISO - 800) f3.5 1/4

(ISO - 800) f3.5 1/4

(ISO - 800) f3.5 1/4

These are generically what you could class as failed images in comparison to the usual gig images you see, but they capture movement and the subject is still in the frame, so they're interesting to look at as they capture the energy of the musicians.
